Our Team
We are currently looking for women who are interested in serving the young women in House of Grace as a Resident Advisor. We are seeking women who will stay in the home from 6PM- 7AM two or more nights per month to advise and maintain the rules of the covenant agreement each resident signs. To provide refuge to young women ages 18-24 in a Christ-centered home in Northwest Louisiana giving hope and encouragement through relationships, skills, and resources, empowering them to change their legacy.
Our History
Our History
In 2017 we saw an increased need in our area for young women who were facing homelessness due to aging out of foster care or who were seeking refuge due to unsafe living environments. Arvad Ministries was born from that knowledge in 2018. We began raising funds to open in 2019 and in 2022 were able to purchase a home and 5 acres of land in Bossier Parish that will meet this need. This home has been renovated and is currently open to up to 4 residents with an addition being completed at this time that will increase our capacity to up to 8 young women. Each young lady we serve receives weekly life skills classes, personal coaching, counseling, two mentors as well as resources for employment and continuing education. Every independent living plan is tailored to the individual to help her reach the goals that she sets.
